Metering Valve Recommendations

I am attempting my first regulator build and figured I might as well go all out and build a nice stainless steel set-up.I have all the components besides a metering/needle valve. I was looking into the parker H3, but the cheapest I can find it is around $80.00. Does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonably priced stainless steel metering valve? Preferably with 1/8"npt ports, since I do not want to use adapters. The max I want to spend is around $70-$80.

Thanks in advance.

Toms are gone.

Those parker h3l are as good as it gets. Seriously.

If you want to go cheap, take a look at bettatails metering valve thread for part numbers, then start searching the internet and eBay for ones in your price range. Kevmo911 might have an extra h3l, pm him first.

Thanks for the advice. So you think $80.00 is still a good price for the H3?

Sorta, they're like 400 new... The guy that's selling them on eBay got them for less than $24 each. I guess it really depends on what your budget is like and how fast yo want to get it done.

Dang, how did he get them for $24.00? I'll probably just end up going with an H3L.

There was an unbelievable ebay deal on those things for about a month. Some people stocked up.

For the record, the Evilbay seller is not me. And yeah, I have some. Just replied to PM. Yes, I saw the deal way back and grabbed some. I was lucky - actual flow is a complex equation involving Cv, orifice size, needle taper, and probably a couple other things, little of which I understand. So the only good info comes from somebody actually testing them in a way that mimics how you'll use them. And that's hard to come by.
