Filstar replacement parts - switch companies?

I have been using my trusty XP3 for 6-7 years with little to complain about until today. The plastic intake and outlet parts have become brittle over the years and some of the connectors have snapped. It causes various problems, like with the spraybar and how it sometimes pops off. I would like to just get a new OEM parts tray like the link below but nobody has it in stock. Anybody know if another mfg's intake and outlet would fit well and work as well if not better?

The Filstar hoses are 16mm ID which is close to 5/8 ID. You can use any output from any company as long as it will work with this size. However, I do see a problem with the intake. The filstar has no priming pump on the filter. As you know, the intake pipe has a screw on cap which you use to prime the filter for the first time. You can manually start the prime by sucking on a hose and then hope you never lose your prime ever again but I don't think that's reasonable.

Thanks RoyalFizbin. That is huge, I forgot all about the intake needing the primer. I guess I'll have to keep the Filstar intake (It is in better shape than the outlet). I was thinking of just making my own spray bar following the steps this guy did. I like that it just hangs and doesn't need suction cups.

Tiggity - thanks, but that is the link I provided. Amazon forwards you to the site. It is not in stock at Petmountain.

Tell me what parts are needed and i will go through my "filter parts box" and see what i have. I ordered a parts tray last year and never ended up using all the parts so i may have everything you need :-)

stevenjohn21 -I need pretty much all of the outlet aside from the piece that hangs into the tank. I used to use the little head, but that kinda broke up, so I switched to the bar, and that got brittley as well. I wonder if I got a bum batch of parts or my water is evil.

A primable intake could be made easily enough with PVC. Similar to a RG CO2 reactor.
