How long does your CO2 last when pressure starts to drop?

Hi all,

Just wondering how much more you get out of your CO2 cylinders when the pressure starts dropping from ~800psi. Everybody always says "once it starts dropping it's only a few more days till it's gone", but i've used mine when the pressure starts dropping for 2+ weeks and it hasn't even dropped that much more. And this is going at like 6-8 bps at 25psi working pressure. Is this how it goes for all of you or do I just not use a lot of gas? Trying to figure that out, so thats' why I'm asking.

normally the HP pressure is 800 psi, but you may see the HP as low as 650 psi because of the low temp, there is still plenty of liquid co2 in the cylinder.
when the liquid co2 all become gas, the pressure dropping fast and only last a few days.

My tank is a 5 lb. It depends on the regulator if you ask me. With my Milwaukee regulator I had about a week before I needed a refill. If I didn't catch it in time, it would dump. When I upgraded to my Aquariumplants.com regulator (electronic) I could allow it to go to 0psi and not worry about dumping.

No, this is not because of temperature fluctuations. This is because the tank is getting empty. I'm down to 500psi now and it started dropping from 800psi 2 weeks ago. I'm still going strong on the CO2, still pumping 6bps for 2 weeks now and will continue to do so next week. Maybe I can even get a month out of my CO2 once the pressure starts to drop. 5 lb tank, dual stage regulator.

Pressure in tank can change with temp. In my experience though, once i see my PSI drop from 700-850 range, its gone within a few days.
