missing lower trim on tank

I have a 90 gallon tank I would like to start using but it is missing a piece of the lower trim.

The missing piece is on a short side and leaves a gap of about 1/8 inch.

Should I try to fill this gap with a small piece of something? or,
Remove all of the lower trim and set the tank down on a piece of styrofoam? or,
Leave it as it is and set the tank down on a piece of styrofoam?

I intend to conceal the bottom several inches of tank so appearance isn't a problem.

I would order a new trim piece and silicone it on. Of course, that would require you to remove the entire bottom trim piece and clean it up, so I don't know how much time you want to invest in it.

The plastic rim isn't a one piece rim. It is actually made up of eight pieces, four corners and four straight pieces.
