where can we find the larger sized glass disk diffusers?
it seems they are all now for nano or small tanks. ADG has some large ones but they are 150 bux and that's just too much for something that's going into a sump before my main return line...
this i did some searching after this post. i found that looks nice!
although with aquatic magic it make take 2 months to get here. The question im also asking is it seems the bigger one's have been phased out. when i started this hobby two years ago, the glass style diffusers were everwhere! They had all shapes and sizes, different makers, fakes, and not so fakes.
So if I cannot find one elsewhere, the Rhinox 5000 is a perfect candidate and I'll probably order two just incase those get phased out as well!
its been ordered.
and mounting will be irrelevant, this is more of a pre- return mister. i've been letting the return pump (taam rio HF17) do the work but at slower flow rates around 5-600 gph the mist comes out rather large
Really personal preference. Either method has been proven to work well with larger tanks as long as you have a good misty diffuser. Some prefer and believe the mist can be better for plants, but again they both work. BTW that is not an inline diffuser in your link.
O i know that isnt a inline one lol. i have a smaller version of that on my nano tank. on my 75g i have a inline mix max reactor.
if your hoses are to big you can buy a second smaller pump... should be pretty easy if your using a sump.
i have also heard the bubbles spreading around the tank is very good. as the bubbles getting stuck to the leaves lets the plant take the co2 in easier. like you said either will work... my inline still throws some bubbles out but like you referred to not that many. i personally would prefer not having all those bubbles flying around in my tank.
EDIT if you want a mist i have also tried these inline ones, they do a great job of spreading the mist around the tank. but again you would need a smaller return line...
Funny enough, I was going suggest the same atomic diffuser that was linked. I have only used their inline and I can say that the bubbles are tiny compared to glass ceramic in tank diffusers I have had. The 75mm should be very big. I never liked the look of these but if it's going in a sump, who cares.
