Has anyone bought and used this product? Its called Plant Gro C02 for about $20. Comes with a yeast generator container, bubblecounter and diffuser and 3 months of tabs. I have a 15 gal tank Id like to start with live plants/tetras and thought this would be good.

Here it is.
For $20, I think its worth it just for the reactor. Let me know what you guys think.

I agree, $20 bucks for the reactor would be a good deal! I still don't get why the site said it is better than "inconvenient pressurized cylinders", pressurized is the ultimate easy way to go, but this is good.

Tank in transition! 55 gallons, hard water.

I have a 29 gallon set up in my office at work. I've been wanting to plant that one but didn't want to fuss with a yeast setup. Even though this is similar to a DIY setup, the ingredients come prepared so it should be less work to maintain. My office tank doesn't get the TLC that my home tanks do. Some times I don't do a water change till the water has evaporated so much that the sound of the water splashing from the power filter drives me nuts. Yikes, I can't believe I just admitted that. It's not as bad as it seems though. It's usually every 3 weeks or so. The fish load is very small.

But back to the point. I think I'm gonna get one for my office tank.

Actually i was meaning to post this a few days ago.....my LFS just set this system up on their plant display been there for about 2weeks they said...works great seems to be a very consistent supply of co2 small and easy to handle....now my question is how many would i need?....would one be enough for a 55g?....the LFS tank is only about 30gallons...(tank for plants)

10 gallon low-tech Betta bowl...for now.

Probably not, I think they're rated for up to a 30 gallon tank. What you could probably do is tee in another reaction chamber, read 2 liter bottle, and then you'd get twice the output. The reactor they give you seams more than adequate to dissolve the co2 from 2 bottles. You could use the formula they give you in both bottles. or just use the yeast recipe.

Ok I just got mine in. Heres a couple of quick things about it.
The canister is 8in long and about 3in wide and you can hang it on the back of the tank.
The bubble counter/diffuser is kinda hard to explain. Its plastic with a bunch of little ramps that the co2 bubbles supposed to run up. I am gonna try and get it setup sometime Saturday. If I do I will try and post some pics.
They recommend 1setup for every 20g

I don't think you could use two containers for one ramp. The bubbles slow down as they get smaller. I see 6 bubbles on the ramp at one time, if they run into each other they combine and exit too fast (only happens when one gets snagged on a leaf). I've only had mine going a few days now, but the rotala macranda is growing in again. It had fallen apart soon after planting this tank. And the java fern that was black and crspy is growing again and looking healthy. I'm happy. A reasonable solution for the 10 gallon tank. I may still add a DIY the next tank if the plants begin to fail.

I have a 30 gallon, and have seen these in a couple LFS, would you say I should have two of these? Currently I am using DIY CO2, and it doesn't seem to do much good, and I was thinking about using two 2 Litre bottles but I might just get something that would work twice as good, if the results are as good as you say....
