complaint about Eheim
We've had a handful of Eheim canister filters over the last few years. I loved them, but part of one broke recently...this is where the love got lost.
I tried using Eheim North America's website to order the replacement part; the website is broken. It does not work on multiple computers, multiple different browsers.
I tried calling them on the phone. Press the number options to get "replacement parts" (yes, the system specifically said "replacement parts" as the option) and got a generic Eheim call center. They took a message and 'left it for the parts department who would get back to me within 24 hours'. I called up three different days. No response.
I used their 'contact us' email form on the Eheim North America website and got the generic 'we received your email' auto-response, caliming that I would be contacted within 72 hours. No response within a full week.
Eheim has ZERO customer service. I won't be buying from them again. Pity, because I liked the filters. Won't touch them again though. A $5 replacement part just cost them a few $X00 of future sales as we upgrade the size of an aquarium or two.
