Average Life of a 5Lb CO2 Bottle

New Regulator is set up, and so off to the Weld shop to get my tank changed out....again 3 bottles in a bout a month. About how long should I expect a 5lb bottle to last at 2 bubbles fo a 8 hour period a day? Provided this new regulator isn't defective.

I had mine for about 4-5 mos now still 800-900 psi.
I'm running Dual Stage Victor Regulator w/ atomic diffuser and the bubble rate is slow.

You are experiencing a leak. A #5 cylinder should last you about 4-5 months.

What would Honey Badger do?

Thats what I thought. I leak checked everything else last night all is good from the bubble counter to the tank ....so we will see with the new regulator...if this replacment reg is a flop....I will never use a low end reg again and will diy one....

Just a guess, but make sure the connection to the cylinder isn't the culprit.

My reg was the culprit. Solenoid was leaking out of the four screws on the bottom, new reg is installed. Inline diffuser quit diffusing and built up pressure till the reg stopped putting out.....So now i have a new reg and a DIY CO2 reactor...waiting for pvc cement to cure then install we go.

I'm using a 5lb on my 72. Running about 3 bbs, 9 hours a day and my last one went just over 4 months. I have a Victor single stage regulator.

You guys and your dual stage regulators running it till empty, one day I will be able to do that.

5lbs @ 1 - 2 bps, long photo period.
A little over a year
Took it to get refill because it was getting light, guy had to purge it because there was still Co2. Once a year refilling sound pretty good to me though.
