Dead Azoo regulator...again

Well I have had nothing but problems with this regulator, Highside gauge quit working, solenoid leaked from every hole imaginable, needle valve once set at 2 bbs for two hours strait shot to about 40 good thing I was paying attention Anyways once the company that sold me this reg tells me what they are going to do about it I will be buying a non azoo reg. I am 0 for 2 with this one type. Does anyone else have a suggestion for decent reg in the 100$ price point

There are many options for around $100, but these are usually commercially available/commercially made setups. While many people have had good experiences with them, on the other hand, there are many people that have also had bad experiences with them.

Milwaukee and Aquatek are two that immediately come to mind.

I've had one for a little over a year with no problems. Some people will tell you they had bad experiences. And some people aren't happy unless they buy the most expensive one they can find, but for me this has been great.

Its on its way, anything is better than no CO2 and a regulator burning through 5lbs of CO2 a week.

So you bought or had two new azoo regulators and they both were unreliable?

first Azoo reg came in opened the package hooked it up. CO2 leaked everywhere every screw and fitting was either lose not sealed terrible shape. Second one arrived High side guage worked for two minutes, and now it too is leaking all over the place, so i took it all apart resealed all the connections made sure the whole thing was tight and it work for a while now it just leaks all over again solenoid even leaks out the cap to the electrical cord. Im not saying these regs are terrible since I have only owned two regulators of any kind ever, but Im going to try the one I posted above. It appears to me these two Azoo regulators missed quality control.

How ever the customer service at the company I bought the regulator from has been great. One email and they are sending me another one with a prepaid flate rate shipper for the old one plus a refund for CO2 costs...

Hopefully third time's the charm. Is this the regular two gauge regulator from azoo that comes with a preset working pressure.

i've had my azoo reg (the one with two gauges and preset working pressure) since late 2007. no problems with it leaking. initially, the needle valve would drift, but after the first 6-9 months, it settled down. i've never had an eotd.

i'd say the customer service is exceptional--replaced your gas too?

btw, are these new regs?

yeah its the two gauge preset one non ajustable...and yup refunding my gas expense. I just have to send him my CO2 receipts...costs 17 bucks a tank to fill. I would think even at 24/7 CO2 i should get at least 6 or 7 months out of a 5lbs tank at 2 bpm. I bought my plants from this person too. Great state of Mn. He personally called me, got all my tank specs then selected plants for the set-up. only thing out of it I would have changed is more HC less microswords but I thought that was cool. Shows the seller cares and stands by his product.

If you buy a regulator for under $75, be prepared to face problems and mediocrity.

Yeah finding that out the hard way....when it was just fish and a filter no problems...when ever I get some genious idea to go bigger better faster....I end up having to DIY it because alot on the market is crap IMO.
