Just ordered my AC 30. Questions re: old media in new filter.

Hi All, I just ordered an Aqua Clear 30 for my 10 gallon (fully cycled). I have a MARINA Slim S15 right now. Does anyone have any advice on how to place media from S15, which is of the cartridge variety, into the AC 30's media box?

In my S15 I currently have 2 "regular" cartridges plus one carbon cartridge. I've heard mixed reviews about carbon in fresh water tanks so at this point I am not even sure I am going to use the carbon cartridge or the carbon media included with the AC.

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

If you don't mind the look you could just toss it in the tank, otherwise is prolly cut it up and put in some panty hose or a media bag and throw it in the filter.
