Second gauge on regulator does not reset when not connected.

Hi All,

The second gauge on my regulator does not reset to 0 (it stays at 35psi) after I disconnected the unit from the CO2 tank. Is this normal?

Not from my experience. Is the back side of the gauge, the back plate, warped by chance? Or is the needle bent?

It is possible to encounter this situation if you have a dual stage regulator, and have trapped the gas in the second stage regulation (i.e. between the first stage regulation and whatever is downstream of the regulator, such as a solenoid).

However, this is probably not the case and as exv152 mentioned, your regulator (gauge) may be damaged.

What is the range of this gauge? Is it pegged at 35, or is this somewhere within the working range of the reg?

35psi co2 trapped.

power on the solenoid or turn the regulator handle clockwise to release the co2.
