Cleaning T5 Reflectors

I just bought 2 48" Sunlight Supply Tek 2 T5HO fixtures from a guy who used them with saltwater tanks and the refleftors have a lot of salt creep, etc on them. (Got BOTH for $75, so I wasn't going to complain)

What is the best way to clean and then polish these? If this has already been discussed please tell me I'm being lazy and go search myself

Thanks for the responses. I know I have CLR at home, I can probably find Brasso at HD or Lowes...

Does CLR also polish/do I need to polish at all?

CLR refers to a cleaning product for Calcium, Lime, and Rust. http://www.jelmar.com/CLRbasic.htm

As to whether the reflectors need to be polished, it will depend on what they look like after you've cleaned them. That's something only you can answer.

IT ABSOLUTELY is the stuff. and their site is the only place i know of
its an awesome cleaner. even rempoves surface rust with ease.. I LOVE IT

u need mulitple microfiber towels to use it, one to rub and one to wipe the excess grease off
DO NOT rub hard. it works well with a very gentle rubbing

I'm going to go ahead and get some since I expect it'll last forever and there are times when I want something like this on hand. Plus, there are a few spots on one of my reflectors on my TEK fixture I'd like to polish out, and this stuff sounds like the only thing I'd dare to use on it.

While I'm ordering, if there's anything else on that site you think a planted tank person could use, let me know. If I'm going to pay for shipping, might as well do it one time.
