SMS Controller variances

I've used a SMS 122 PH Controller for a while now to control my CO2.

I've noticed that, besides the difficulty in setting the dial to my preferred PH (6.8), the controller will let the PH vary from between 6.8-7.0 without the alarm going off. Is this normal? How the heck do you set these things accurately?

I heard it has a .05 variance built in. Otherwise the controller will constantly be going on and off when its at teh border of the set pH mark.

It takes a bit of tweaking of the set point and bubble rate, but it's possible to get the range down to .1 pH is offline

It does have an advertised +/- of .2.

That's in the accuracy, the problem she has is in the slope. The trick is to find the spot on the set point dial that gives you what you want. is offline
