I got some Amazon credit for Christmas. I'd like to use it to get a cheap pressurized co2 setup going that ISN'T this fluval piece of garbage I have! My current one gets the job done, but only because I don't have any livestock in the tank. Just plants, which are thriving. But I know I'd absolutely gas all my shrimp if I had any using this thing, lol.
So can someone help me put together a CHEAP co2 system on Amazon?
From my understanding I'd just need this + paintball tank + adapter, correct?
I have that same co2 system, I'll warn you, without a needle valve it is hard to dial in an exact BPS, it goes from nothing at all to 2-3bps without very very careful tiny adjustments. Otherwise, it's working just fine in my tank. I haven't used it with a paintball container, as I have mine hooked to a 20lb co2 tank.
Thanks guys! I think I'll try the one I posted, see how it goes. I've already got drop checker, valves, etc, from my crappy fluval co2. So I should be set.
Besides, it's on Amazon, so I can always return it if I dislike it LOL!
You don't wanna use the straight paintball regulator. As mentioned paintball regulators operate in the several hundred psi range. Williams brewing has a regulator for $60 that's super nice and threads right onto a paintball tank. You will have to add a solenoid which could put you around $100 or so but you'll have to weigh your options.
