So I built my first dual stage regulator this week that I bought "new, not original packing" off the bay. It's an airgas y12.
All went well, until solenoid shut off the flow tonight. The low pressure is creeping up on its own. Noticed it went up to 80 psi after 30 mins.
Is this regulator toast?
Point to keep in mind is that it is NOT recommended to open the Clippard solenoid. As I understand it those parts are considered something to keep very super clean and that they recommend only loosening the top at the ring if we need to rotate it to better fit the plumbing but we should not totally open it and let the parts out!
If you have one with a bent spider, that would be something to talk to the seller about as somebody has done screwed you!
