I have some that faded to dark brown but there are ones that stayed like blackberry color. Just keep dying them.

i wont dye anything they do steal food from my fish every now and them and maybe that causes it?

This is the picture of a few Blackberry shrimp that I bought from AquaTouch here in Phoenix, AZ. I would say half of them stayed like this color but the rest faded to dark brown. I bought 6 of them last December.

Some of my amanos are a deep green color but a large portion of their body is still clear. I like your shrimp! It even has the stripe down the back.

some of the cheeries in my ten gallon have a yellow stripe too! BTW .....B16crxT nice name i have a f22 cd5 myself no turbo yet...and a ef 4door in another country i just cant let go of these 2 cars.... way to much fun!

I believe Crispino was right looks alot like a blueberry shrimp as ive read that they tend to be black also but looks more like a (black) cherry shrimp than an amano. Has the same yellow stripe along the back as some my cherries.

shrimp in the picture is not an amano. From the image it is definitively some other kind of caridina, probably a ninja shrimp.

wow now im really confused i must have at least 4 ninjas then 1 black and 3 red i gotta get some pics for you guys to help me I.D....Who hoo! NINJAS dam i love this hobby.

this would also explain why i dont have any berried females lately do they need some salt? (brackish)
