Smile My new CRS! I think I have Albino CRS too!!

So I my 50+ SS-SSS+ grade shrimp came in the mail today! I'm so happy!!!
I was able to get these for about $1 a piece from a guy who was needing room for BKK shrimp. I was looking through them today and I saw some pure white CRS juveniles. I have never seen these before. I was wondering if anybody could give me some more information on why I have 3 FUllY White CRS. One I know is a true albino. He has pink/red eyes, but the other 2 are just all white with black eyes. here are some pictures! (And a few other ones I took pictures of!)

When they are babies they can have red eyes, they eventually turn black. They are goldens or snow whites more than likely.

Assuming your tank has CRS only and no CBS, I believe that:

full white coverage CRS = Goldens ... whereas
full white coverage CBS = Snow Whites

High chances are it's Snow White.

But apparently I heard there were crystal white shrimps though. Just that the body is transparent with patches of white. Attached the images that I saw.

Since he has SS-SSS+ grade CRS, its not surprising to have some golden crs. Some will make the distinction of golden crs and snow white crs (not the transparent one shown) but they're pretty much the same. They pop out of CBS and CRS when the line isn't PRL. If they have some transparent shell while the rest is white then they can be further specified as being "skeleton" but at that point its kinda semantics to me lol.

has some nice pictures.

I don't think they are skeleton. They aren't in the least way transparent. Should I cull these little guys out?

you could but I think they are neat. They do carry the genes for CRS in them....but if you're working to minimize the chances of getting snow whites or whatever u wanna call them yeah take them out and put them in another tank.

No, allow them to breed with CRS and cull shrimplings. Unless you're looking for CRS only. Either way they can help with the coloration of CRS if bred correctly.
