Great photos. I use a silimar one from amazon on my note 3 when i am too lazy to bring out the DSLR ( which is most of the time :-D)

The one i have is identical as the one shadowfang has. You put a sticker metal ring on your phone and snap the lens on whenever you feel like taking a close shot. Very good for low bugdet/lazy people :-D

I barely cropped any of my pictures, and some I just sized down from the original size as they were 1632x something. So I just scaled it down.

great photos, just looks like your device was focused on the substrate and not the shrimp. a little more practice and you'll get it!

Here is one of mine taken with iphone 4 and a chaep marco under $5. Shrimp is one of my starting crew of dream blue.
