algae wafers, flake food, shrimp, blood worms, anything with protein basically. They prefer live food, but when there is none around, they'll go with dried/frozen foods.

When my cories lay eggs I have about a hour window before the assassins are climbing up the glass heading for the eggs. They must get so mad at me when I take the eggs out.

would an assassin ever attack a fish?. I have a few small caves that only have one exit that pygmy's love to chill in, i can't help thinking if assassin snail came along it could probably quite easily attack one. After all i can't see the pygmy's moving away from it they quite used to snails crawling round about. Not that i'll be putting the assassins in that tank now, there going to get their own dedicated one but im still curious.

I've never heard of one attacking a fish, then again I never heard of one attacking a shrimp until someone posted a video of it here. I would say if the fish is unhealthy and dieing already that the snail may come over and eat it, but that would have to be a small fish. I house assassin snails with my fish never had a problem even with cories on the bottom and kuhli loaches hiding in the caves. I've also housed them with my RCS and never had a problem, sure they may of picked a few off here and there but my population was always on the rise so no big deal.
