Chiller for shrimp tank?

I know from other discussions that most people are using fans to cool shrimp tanks. I am in Texas and even though the house will be cooled quite a bit, tanks usually get 80 to 82 degrees. I like the idea of using a chiller as it would seem more stable/less maintenance than fans, and have ability to drop temp by a greater amount. Does anyone actually use a chiller? If so what kind of set up do you use. I have a 20 long and was thinking of getting a 1/15 hp chiller and putting it in line with a eheim 2213 canister filter. Just curious as to thoughts and feedback.

Something like this!? All you need is to link the chiller outflow hose to your canister filter.

Chiller for shrimp tank?

Or you could get cardinal shrimp that love that temperature and skip a chiller.

I agree with this, kind of, problem is I want both. I am currently cycling a tank to put cardinal shrimp in, but I also really would like to keep some TB shrimp.

I have an existing CRS tank that I plan to migrate to TB shrimp. I found a used 1/10 chiller that was reasonably priced and I already have the canister filter, so it seems better to go the chiller route for that tank versus buying the fans and hopping to keep the temp. low enough. Will see how it goes.
