Blue pearls just arrived!

Well here is attempt #2 with neocaridina. I had to share because I'm very excited and more optimistic with this group of shrimp. They already look a lot healthier and better acclimated than my last attempt with cherries. I'm glad I went with blue shrimp this time even tho they are palmata and I meant to get heteropoda oh well. Hopefully I'll have better luck this time around after making a few changes to my water

I bought some blue pearl shrimp a few weeks ago. However, only two seem to have any blue to them. They are breeding so maybe the babies will have some blue? One of them was a nice medium blue but I haven't seen it since I put it in the tank. I was hoping to pick out a few of the blue ones and put them in their own tank and hopefully get some with more color. Would that work?

This is called selective breeding and that's a nice way to get better color.

RAOK Club and BBRR Club! My thinking has been invert-ed!

I plan on selectively breeding mine too just make sure you get some males in with the ones you separate. Mine seem to be almost white compared to the females which are very blue.
