I'm one of the few who's had bad experience with dog dewormer. That stuff doesn't desolve well in water either.

I've used the Gush Catchpen and it works very well. If you Youtube "Planaria trap" there's a user who made his own DIY planaria trap which also seems very easy to make. I haven't tried it yet though.

I have no experience with planaria, but I'm new to the hobby and therefore reading everything I can get my hands on. In my studies I've read that they are slower than shrimp. As you said in a previous post they are swarming your shrimp food. Get a nice morsel in there on a string, wait for the feeding frenzy, then pull the piece up. The shrimp will jump off while the slowpoke planaria will still be attached.

Hope that helps some.

I could plunk them out one by one.. (caught 3 so far) but i'm sure if i can see 3.. there probally lots hiding in the substrate..so i'm leaning towards chemical eractacation over slowly hunting them.... So far 2 pet stores and neither of them had brands containing Fendbendazole.. i try petsmart tonight.

Yea if you can see a few try turning out the lights then after a hour or so turn the light back on. You might see a lot more.

Nowhere seems to sell the stuff so it may be time to build a trap. I spotted one of the punks in another tank as well. I think a test tube with a small hole in the cap will be a quick and easy DIY trap

Dog de-wormer worked well for me, and I had no ill effects dosing about 5X the amount people say to..... Just had to hit a tank with it because a shipment of shrimp I got had some tag along guess..... I hate people that do not give you notice, might have .......

Well I ordered a life time supply of fenbendazole off the net and made a diy trap for now.. It's baited with blood worms so we shall see if it works in the morning

Cool looking trap. I think I got the dewormer stuff off amazon. It was easier than calling and driving around trying to find it.

Thanks!

So far its pretty effective.

After 5 stores i gave up and ordered a massive bottle on the bay (multiple life time supply).. I will trap as many as i can and give the shrimp time to settle in their new home then play with some chemical warfare in a few weeks
