shrimp mix?

Has anybody ever seen a post showing which species breed with which? I would like to keep my crystal reds with my cherry reds or my pumpkins but I don't want to ruin the strains or end up with a bunch of funky.....brownish? (just a guess) shrimp.
I currently have red, pumpkin and yellow. Crystal red, amano and ghost shrimp in 4 tanks and would like to house them together, just wondering if I need more tanks or dividers?

5 tanks & growing! Gotta get some moonlights so my fish can sleep cus I cant stop lookin!

I would just keep the different species separate or you could put half of each specie in the same tank and see if they create a 'monster' lol
good luck

Red, pumpkin and yellow are all neos and will breed together. Some people like an immediate rainbow and put colors together, some like the shrimp to breed their pure color. Depends on what your priority is.

Crystal red, amano and ghost shrimp will not interbreed with each other or neos.

RAOK Club and BBRR Club! My thinking has been invert-ed!

Wow Soothing thats good news. Can I put crystals with neos?

Got that backwards but it doesn't matter you covered it all. Thanks.

I guess what I meant to ask was;
Will my neo's breed rainbow babies say 3 or so of each parents color or will they end up a muddled mix of the parents?

This is the most thorough interbreeding chart I've seen so far: http://shrimpsider.wordpress.com/201...reeding-chart/

Rule of thumb: if they are in the same genus, assume they will interbreed. Naricaridina will breed with neocaridina and caridinas will breed with caridinas. There are plenty of exceptions, of course (like amano shrimp that need brackish water to breed, for example) but it will get you started!

No rainbow mix offspring, but some related colors. Expect wilds, yellowish, orangish. Of course some pure colors by whomever gets hit up by the same color.

i like my wilds. and the body tissue in mine are 2 colors i have some orangey ones and some with a greenish tint so no telling what might come.

jovonhaln: i think you can keep the yellow and orange together with out gettin the wild looking shrimp. you will end up with a range of yellow to orange color.

Wilds are cool. If you mix and just let them go, you can end up with who knows. I do know that in time you'll start getting chocolates of varying quality...

This is a terrible pic but this one was very solid with orange eyes...they were very orange in person...
