Cool! How long does it take to go from that size to what you would consider mature?

My tibees are 4 months right now and still probably 2-3 months away from being mature enough to breed. They are slow growing though a little faster growing than CRS/CBS in my experience, but not by much

I'm not sure its "Tibee" since the shrimp this actually not a tiger ..
Its called tiger because it have tiger like stripes but its from the
"Caridina serrata" family (together with the Aura blue shrimp)
and a Tiger is from the "Caridina cantonensis" family

It's still called a Tibee as far as I know. . Remember Tibee is a catch all phrase.

It's not a tibee, a tibee is two shrimp of the same species having a baby, and a serrata x cantonensis cross is a true hybrid.

It's funny because tt x tiger f1 and f2 look the same as tt x crs f1 and f2. I'm working with tt x bkk right now and it's interesting the similarity of all cantonensis when crossed. You can really point out the similarities.

Also most true hybrid grows faster than a tibee, due to hybrid vigor. Since tibees aren't true hybrids they don't have hybrid vigor.

Aura blue is bred and sold by one farm, that farm has no US distributors.

I think clay at Southern oak aquatics may be bringing them in this year.

I imported them several times with no real takers, people would buy 5 here or there, but I stopped buying them because I had to devote an entire 20g tank for 10 or 15 shrimp that would take months to get rid of. Didn't make business sense to me.
