New BW Product - Bee Balls

Hey guys! I decided to splurge with some of the money that I got from selling on here by trying out the new BorneoWild Bee Balls

Here's the description from BWs site:
Bee Ball is a ceramic ball made of Bamboo Charcoal that slow releases anions and minerals. The negatively charged parameter creates refreshing natural environment that vitalises metabolism and bacterium activities. It strengthens immune system of shrimp over time, as well as removes odor and impurities thus improving water quality. The Calcium based mineral also aid in moulting, color and shell enhancement.

They seem like they are the same thing as Ebiken's Shou balls which are like gum ball sized where the bee balls are like mini gumballs haha. Right now, I think the only guy that sells these bee balls in the US is The Shrimp Tank aka oblongshrimp on TPT. The only thing that sucks about reviewing this product is that it is hard to determine its success. I am marketer and I love trying new things so I decided to try this out.

So far, I'm impressed that these can be used directly in the tank or as a filter media. I am unsure if Ebiken Shou can used as a filter media. I want to try the bee balls in the tank first to see if the shrimp have any interaction with them. I don't see much with the Shou balls. As you can see in the pics, they are a bit of an eye sore in the tank so I hope to move them in the filter eventually. Please let me know if you have any questions about these bee balls.

IMHO, i'd say its better to have in a shrimp tank than without.

The pros use it for the very same reasons. thanks for sharing!

I do like the smaller size balls.

Is that how many were in one bottle?

I started using these about 2 weeks ago, tanks were doing fine before, and still doing well. As stated above, not sure if the shrimp are benefitting, but I'm sure it's not hurting them either.

Here's what it says on the back of the bottle:
Use minimum 1 ball per 4 liter of water. You may use 1bottle for a 60Liter tank for best effect, but add gradually and observe for increase in GH/KH. Put the balls directly in the tank or as a filter media. It remains active for approximately 1.5-2 years. Please rinse before use.
