Odd Shrimp Death...

Something happens to RCS is one of my 10 gallon tanks. They seem to do fine for a while, then develop a "kink" in the back - hold their tail at an odd angle. Then they will slowly groom their swimmerets. A day or two later, they die.

Has anyone else seen this before?

I'm in Tyler, Texas and I am thinking there is something in the water. This never happened when I lived in Tucson, Arizona.

My tank parameters are great - ph - 7.2, TDS 160ppm, ammonia - 0, nitrite - 0, nitrates 10-20ppm. Temperature is about 78*F.

Thoughts?

Sounds as if they may have a problem molting. What is your GH?

I found I had a lot of shrimp dying when I had my gh too low. When I corrected my gh to 6+ for cherries, my deaths stopped, too.
