I recommend adding a plant trimming for the shrimp to hang onto for the ride. I would also tape the corners of the bag so the shrimp don't get crushed in the corners. As for the temperature, make sure you use a heat pack for colder areas.

shipping cherrry shrimp

It's easier to ship shrimp then fish I think ,shrimp can live inside the bags for weeks ,just make sure you buy some kordon breather bags ,fill half of the bags with water and some java moss or plant trimmings for them to hang in and eat during shipping

Make sure there is no air in the bag and seal them up with rubber band ,USPS priority box are free and filled with form or newspaper so the bag doesn't move around

thanks. i am starting a shrimp tank & will be ready for shrimp soon. i have 2 fish tanks & was wondering if i would have to be extra cautious with the shrimp. i will request a heat pack also. the weather hasn't exactly been cooperative this winter.
