Oebt babies and orange eyes

Do baby oebt start out with orange eyes? Ive had two mommas give birth so far and have over twenty babies in the tank bit I am starting to get worried how they look. These babies are right around 2 weeks, some more some less, old right now and I'm starting to get nervous about their looks.

And this is one of the mommas. All of the moms are a nice blue like this, but quite a few of the males in the tanks are blondes.

Probably just over reacting since I know babies can change a lot. But some of them are getting a decent size and are still very orange bodied with black eyes.

Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Mine were born with orange eyes and were all clear paleish blue. But I've just hAd the one batch of babies do not a lot of reference. But those really don't look like OEBT... They look like TT. But obviously they aren't of course! Strange though.

You don't have anything but OEBT in that tank right? Even the first pics you showed in the other thread looked weird cause of the pale white striping on one of them. I believe the orange eyes are a dominant trait.

I believe the orange eyes are a recessive trait but all the blue tiger babies I have had look like regular tigers (basically clear) until they develop some blue color. I have never seen orange babies. Is there anything else in the tank with them or was the mother berried when you got her? Do all the babies look orange like that?

From my experience, those don't look like oebt babies. Sometimes ill get one that has a orangish tinge, but the tiger stripes will be present by that point.

Orbit babies and orange eyes

Those look like cherry babies. My OEBT babies are clear with orange eyes right from the start. Click image for larger version

I wouldn't say cherry babies yet. Cherry babies are clear and grow into their red.

+1

Agree that they are not true OEBT offspring. They will be born with orange eyes.

Could this be a throwback for the black eye?

They definitely came from oebt's. I have 2 supreme red females and one male in there but only one female ever got berried and she dropped her eggs after like 2 days. Just found 2 clear ish blues one with black eyes and one with orange.

And the one with black eyes.

The majority are orange with tibee like white stripes and black eyes like this one

I don't know what the deal is all babies came from two very nice dark blue oebt's. there are 5 female oebt, 5 male oebt, 2 female supreme reds, 1 male supreme red and 2 female rainbow shrimp in the tank.

And if they were cherries how come they have the white tibee striping? Totally confused with what has happened.

Edit: also am confused because all the mommas have brown eggs instead of orange. Nick had said brown eggs meant they had royal blue in them but I don't have any royal blues. So disappointed yet excited to see what they become.
