Plants for 20 gallon breeding tank
Well I got my 20 gallon long today so I'm trying to decided what plants to put in. This tank will be setup to breed CRS. I was going to use ADA Amazonia soil and probably a Fugeray light depending on how many plants I put in and if its going to be too much light. Anyway I'm try to figure out if its better to have lots of plants in a breeder tank or very few so I can keep an eye on the shrimp/ catch them when I have enough to sell. I was thinking of doing a tank with just moss for the shrimp but again wanted everyone's opinion.

Hmm we'll if you haven't already definitely get a sponge filter! the shrimp love those. The way i see it is if you have more plants like stem plants etc, you have more surface area for the shrimp to crawl around in and therefore possibly more shrimp where as with no plants, its just one dimensional. But on the other hand, if the tank is heavily planted, it will make it harder for the shrimp to find each other when it comes time to mate.
