10 gallon shrimp tank
I just happen to have a spare 10 gallon tank out in my storage shed. Since I probably just ordered too many plants for my existing tanks, I was thinking I'd go ahead and set it up as a dirted tank, capped with sand, and use it as a grow out tank for floating plants that get eaten by my goldfish.
But I am so enamored with the amanos in my 20 gallon that I've been reading threads most of the day, and looking at the photos of the tanks.
And then I thought - why not make it a shrimp tank?
So I've ordered a sponge filter for it. I also ordered a 50 watt Jager heater with a thermostat that can be adjusted from 64F to 93F because the room it's going in stays pretty chilly in the wintertime.
I've got a piece of Malaysian driftwood - about 9" by 6" that I'll put in it. Most of the tanks I've seen here also have at least one flat rock in them. What is that for?
I'd love some thoughts about hard and aquascape since I'll be starting from scratch - except for those extra plants...
And then, how many RCS would I put in this tank?
