Sure. Many come from different parts of the world, species wise. Most, however, are from river mouths and their babes need brackish water.
A seldom few species breed in full fresh. And at their price, it isn't actually worth breeding them lol.
oh ok. thanks for the response MABJ. lol I only want to breed them so that I can feed them to my Senegal bichir. I dont want to keep buying feeders from my lfs because of diseases.
I have shrimp in my high tech setup. If there isnt sufficient surface aggitation and current moving through the tank, the risk of gassing is significantly higher. This combo definitely needs a bit of care and expertise to get right and not recommended for the average hobbyist.
