Shrimp eating crypt leaf

Is it normal? That leaf was a whole one yesterday and I've noticed shrimps munching on it.

Looks like a melting crypt or at least that leaf seems to be. The dead plant tissue will then be munched on. Otos also love doing that.

Re: Shrimp eating crypt leaf

Ah I see

The whole plant seems to be doing good so I guess that's just one of the dying leaves

that would be my guess. shrimp dont normally eat healthy plant leaves they eat the dieing parts of them like snails and oto. they will pick algae on them and that sometimes looks like they are eating a leaf too
