Super red vs Extreme red

Visually what is the difference between super red crystals and extreme red TB?

super black crystals (if they exist?) and king kong?

However red/black a super red/black shrimp is, the colour is still different from the red/black of a red/black TB. Plus, the colour in TB is very uniform/consistent, you don't see one with 'bad" colour unless it's sick. That's my take.

OKay...but how?

"the colour in TB is very uniform/consistent"

and it's not in super reds or super blacks?

From what I've seen the color banding is different as in width of the red/black vs the white. There are some that look close but the colors are slightly different. Patterns may be as well. Are you talking more about pandas, the ones with the wider white banding?

Nope. Super reds are crs bred for being as much red coverage as possible while removing the white. I'm not sure if super blacks exist, but it would be the same. Do super blacks exist?

Speedie has a pic here:

Here's a pic of extreme red TB

Pics often don't do justice and seeing them in real life, one can describe more accurately. Unfortunately I haven't seen them in real life. All I can tell from the pic is that TB seems to have more black specks in it.

Look at the super red in your pic, there is a spot on the belly near the head and one spot near the tail where the red is fading. You don't see that in TBs. It's either red/black or white, shadows will have blue on the white part like on BB.

Also genetically, a nice super red will still produce offspring of a mix of different quality on colour (some more broken some nice), but TBs offspring are pretty consistent -- it would be red/black where it should be and no "transitioning area" like you see on most CRS/CBS less than $500.

I have to say that super red is pretty nice.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, got ya. I was thinking 'super red' like 'a really vibrant red color' not an actual name of a shrimp. LOL!

So, I just found some information in SCR- super crystal red. Seems the line went two different directions.

One camp decided to keep white mask and white tail while keeping the rest of the body red.

The other camp decided to keep thin white stripes on the back.

Also, it seems the males are born with less white than the fems, and due to this you can tell gender pretty accurately from an early age.
