Nerite eggs on Rabbit snail

So I read mixed reviews on single nerites laying eggs. Some said they kept singles with no eggs laid. I gave it a try with a little nerite figuring I would move it to the bigger tank at the first sign of eggs. Well, after 2 days it laid lots of eggs... all over my beautiful golden spot rabbit snail . Its now been evicted from little tank and will have to take it's chances with the loaches in the big tank.
It literally attached itself to the rabbit and covered it in eggs. The rabbit was trying to get away but the nerite was bigger. I scraped the eggs off best I could but there are white marks still.
Shame, that nerite was doing great with the algae too.

There are 2 types of people on this forum. Those that have algae, and those that lie and say they don't.

Clearly we can infer from this that despite the name "rabbit" snail, your Nerite is faster than the "Rabbit"!

My assassin snail occasionally gets egg-bombed by one of the nerites, but they tend to prefer the driftwood. The dark, high contrast, highly visible, driftwood. Ah well, glory of nature and all that.

If I had the means to set up a nerite breeding program, I suspect I could make a fortune selling guaranteed male only nerites--no eggs!
