okay so i tried CO2 i thought i over dosed the tank (one guy i know i did - he was my stoner and just sat in the co2 stream getting high)
i lost a few 3 other ADULT shrimp in the next few days ... now i have the CO2 going again a WORKING drop checker and AIR at night/during day at times
this little guy didn't come to breakfast (they love lights on/breakfast.. they gather at lights on) when i moved the plant he was on he 'sort of' fell to the next leaf.. he's alive but sluggish and looks odd...
i'm having some sort of bacterial bloom in one of my other tanks, and 2 of my betta are on paraguard (a fungus maybe.. i've got that under fish and on the betta board.. it's all going nuts at once and i just beat ick in their tanks like 3 weeks ago!) and while i would like to say i NEVER EVER use the same tool in different tanks without hot water washing first .. i do.. i try not to but ... i do...
see his black spot ... i know it's his organs but i don't think they are that dark normally.
i'm in the dark green range never goes beyond sold green, emerald, (as no not hit the green/yellow range)
so co2 or no with shrimp.. i also have 02 going at night ALOT, and a microfine o2 (chopstick) going at the same rate as the CO2 or a bit faster (no bubble counter on it i'm 'guestimating' by amount of output as they are next to each other.
amanos happy as clams..
my 'amano' that I THINK is really a bamboo looks odd.. but i don't like bamboo shrimp and think they are creepy looking so i'm not sure.. he's still pissed that i moved and cleaned the filter intake on him and that he can't just sit in the return on a plant waiving his fans eating the water and that he has to MOVE around a bit during the day - the bum..
and the bubble count is:
in the 1 liter bottle next to yeast 1 bubble per 2 seconds just out of airhose
in the bubble counter (through stop check, then into hydro bubble counter the bubbles are much bigger then airhose) 1 bubble per 5 seconds
it's a 6 gallon tank
i set up an 'on/off' valve for my diy by adding a gang valve in-line and opening the valve to let it 'gas off' at night and closing it during the day
i'm having a plant problem (if you want to see my other post.. it's a BAD new year so far) sick plant
