Amanos have started making a break for it
Just within the last few weeks, I have discovered a few of my Amano shrimp dead on the carpet. Not at the same time, but one several weeks ago, and then one again yesterday. I have had Amano shrimp in my tank for at least four months, and this has only just started happening. I have tested my water fairly regularly, with no changes in parameters. Zero ammonia and nitrates, scant nitrates, pH of about 7.3-7.6
The only recent change is the addition of Wisteria to my tank, and now that I think about it, perhaps these guys are just climbing up the wisteria and getting closer to the top of the tank than they really ever have before, and climbing out to their demise.
Could the Wisteria be the culprit?
