Filter questions

Hi all I'm about to start up a shrimp tank. What do you guys think I should do filter wise? I have a aquaclear 30 on it. And was think just adding a sponge to the intake. Thanks!

14g Tall
Shrimp: 1 Amano, 12 Orange sunkist
Plants: Val's, 1 big bunch of java moss, 1 M moss ball
20g Tall
Fish: 2 Dwarf Puffers, 2 Chinese algae eaters
Shrimp: 6 Amanos, 1 cherry
Plants: Val's, 1 big sword, Red Ludwiga

adding a sponge to the aquaclear intake will be fine.

just make sure its on snug so it doesnt slide off.

If you wrap sponge on the intake and use a rubber band to hold it in place it will come apart when the band breaks in a few weeks.

I'm moving my dwarf puffers to a 20 high. So my current 14g will be the shrimp tank
