You're only going to get a small number of browns and I find they don't breed true, so when it breeds with another shrimp, it will give a red of black, depending on who it bred with.

There can be some nice looking ones, I have one female that just got berried and moved to the birthing tank, so I won't move her to get a pic but when she comes out I will try. It looks like a black underneath with a red coating on top, so it looks like a chocolate brown color and it's very solid and not splotchy or see through brown or anything. She's also about 70% brown with very little white, so I'm hoping the babies come out looking neat. This only means you have to setup another tank, one to keep the nice looking ones, one to throw the oddballs into. If no one thought of keeping CRS, CBS and goldens together, we wouldn't have Taiwan Bee's right now.

20g platy, , 2 x 10g shrimp, 3 x 20g shrimp, 7.5g shrimp and 1 great dane/mastiff puppy.

Plus, I'm surprised people aren't keeping/breeding browns. They can be very pretty.

RAOK Club and BBRR Club! My thinking has been invert-ed!
