The most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

My words can't even...

I see PVC, bathroom loofahs and an air tube priced at 19.95 + 8.95 SnH its on eBay. Really? I feel like this is just disrespectful... I mean yeah I guess it looks like it could work, but it looks really tacky.

"Pod Haven 4" Fry Habitat Amano Opae Ula Cherry Crystal Red Shrimp Snail Filter"

This guy even sells ones that go up to around 30 dollars.

I think you hook it up to an airpump and it works like a sponge filter. Nevertheless, I'd stick with a sponge filter.

I thought at first this was someone's idea of an arts and crafts project for kids.

It kinda looks like some character (an alien perhaps? The airline tubing looks like an antenna) with a tutu or some other frilly dress.

Imagine how clean your shrimp will be. It will make your whites whiter and your colors brighter. Now you just have to invent a tiny little soap dispenser so they get take full advantage of the loofah.

Call me strange but I actually think this is pretty cool and it might work. Needless to say, I wont be putting it in any of my tanks but that's pretty creative.

It's got tons of surface area for growing bacteria, at least. Lots of large volume shrimp sellers use it to ship their shrimp instead of adding moss to their bags.

But $30? Hoo boy!

Loofa actually has a very small amount of surface area.
