It's a racing stripe. It makes them go faster they have shrimp races when the lights go out.

It comes with older age in females.

20g platy, , 2 x 10g shrimp, 3 x 20g shrimp, 7.5g shrimp and 1 great dane/mastiff puppy.

Sump Pimp #2

The racing stripes on my RCS were the color of Fire Reds, I suppose that means that if I had selectively bred them, I could have gotten Fire Reds at some point.

It's totally normal .

No matter how hard you try, you cannot escape this hobby. You have been warned.

usually the cherrys do not have this strip down their backs... only PFS have them, but if you have one on your cherry that just means they have the genetics of a PFS at one point in its time it was inter breeded with a PFS

Hate to contradict Bryanmc1998 (and this is not done with any malice intended), but this is incorrect. Any cherry is capable of having a stripe. It's in the genetics.

RAOK Club and BBRR Club! My thinking has been invert-ed!

I've had fairly rusty brown-ish shrimp (clearly no PFR genes there!) have a great racing stripe..until she jumped
