It stressed them out so much that they contracted something that killed them. Yeah, it won't kill anything itself, but don't say it won't stress anything out.

I have heard that scaleless fish are notoriously sensitive and are often dosed at half the typical recommendation.

I've been dosing it with almost 3 weeks on OEBT, Supremes and Ramshorns...no ill effects. Have dosed on PFR/RCS and a quarantined berried OEBT daily with no ill effects.

Ok going to count more drops.

What's 362 minus 90? 272?

Mela or Pima or both?

I have BettaFix which is less concentrated bc bettas and other anabantoids' labyrinth organs are sensitive to the tea tree oil.

Therefore in some cases it seems lowered dosages are effective.

Melafix. Does the tank with shrimp have bettas in it? If not, then it's a non issue. On the flipside I've treated one of my bettas with Paraguard with no ill effects but suffered casualties with shrimp. since a lot of betta meds are tea tree oil I would not put much weight in them being sensitive to it personally.

The BettaFix is a lower concentration of tea tree oil so I asked bc if you guys are using MelaFix on shrimp and I have BettaFix I will need to up my dosage.

Thanks for your input!

That's why I asked if you had a betta in with the shrimp. If you don't it's a non issue. If you do, it's easy enough to quarantine the betta and dose the whole tank for 7 days for shrimp at full dose.

Oh my bad I was addressing the how much to up the dosage issue separate from the is the betta in the tank issue.

No this tank is shrimp and snails only (except for the hydra and the bacteria and the scuds and Copepoda).

I added normal dosage for 5 gallons of BettaFix. Am googling to find out what the difference in concentration is.

Tomorrow I can get MelaFix.

Maracyn-Two is great for bacterial issues. It's my go-to product.

(Paraguard is for parasites.)

I checked my productit's plain Maracyn not Maracyn 2, so I need to go to the store tomorrow.

Wait, isn't this hobby supposed to be relaxing?

Paraguard is for parasites and external fungal/bacterial/viral lesions. Looking right at the bottle.
