I feel like it is almost impossible to not get them over time if you are continuously adding plants to your tanks. Just pick them out of your tank when you see them.
I got those same bladder snails from my plant order. They breed like crazy. I pick the small/medium size ones and remove the egg sacs when I see them. I've got a few that are the size of nickels just about.
I got bladder snails in with one of my plant orders as well, and in just a few weeks their population has already exploded. They grow insanely fast, and I do not overfeed considering there was only one fish in the tank up until yesterday... when I added an assassin snail and some ghost shrimp. I'm hoping they'll slow down bladder snail party.
I had a nice family of bladder snails (I think their shells are cool) until I added some Malaysian trumpets. These outcompeted the bladders until I had just one left. I moved this to my new tank and found it a pal from outside. I must be crazy. :grin2:
I will just be happy as long as it doesn't out compete my incoming shrimp.
Also I'm sad that the shrimp emoji on my phone is a fried shrimp.
