i bought it at my LFS thinking it was an malaysian trumpet snail but im doubting that now after looking up pictures. it is about 5cm long and seems to be attacking my nerite snail (is seperated the two now). I can't seem to find this snail on the web and Im doubting if i should be keeping the guy in my tank.
Looks like a Faunus ater (black devil snail) to me. Technically a slightly brackish water snail, but similar to nerites, can handle fresh water as well.
Thanks alot! i guess that means it won't reproduce in freshwater so they will not overrun my tank. Now lets hope that my plants will not be uprooted as this guy goes through the substrate like a bulldozer
