If its for Doors and Windows I would bet money it has some
sort anti mold chem in it.

I'd stick with the Silc. I or look for the small red/white tube of GE "100% Silicone Sealant" .... "for plastic sheets and other plastics"

I have bought it at both Home Depot and Lowes.
Comes in hand size 3oz tubes.
