Compile a list: Internet companies that ship to Canada

Hello, I'm in the process of planning a 90 gallon project and finding companies that ship to Canada is driving me nuts. It seems 80% (come on, prove me wrong) of companies can't or won't ship to Canada for a variety of reasons.

So, if you've used a mail order/internet company to ship to Canada please respond. I'll compile the list and any comments you have. Please provide:

1. Internet address
2. Company Name
3. Items purchased
4. Positive notes
5. Negative notes
6. Overall satisfaction rating (1-5)

Thus far I'm aware of:

Mail order pet supply, Your Aquarium Supply Specialists!
Dr. Foster Smith, The Planted Tank - Articles, Forums, Pictures, Links
Big Al's, Big Al's Canada Home Page, the Canadian prices seem a tad high

AquariumPlants.com Largest online sales / service site for the live aquarium plants community. ships from within Canada, seems to have good prices but expensive shipping.

I've had things shipped from the states (not just aquarium supplies) and the problem is that they often charge an extra fee for international shipping or simply over-inflate the shipping, plus you have to pay duty and sometimes a brokerage fee (if it comes other than by Post). AND sometimes the item gets held up at customs for a long time.

It's hardly worth it, better to find places like those listed above that ship from within Canada, even if the postage seems higher than US companys charge.

I've been happy with plants from Aquariumplants.com, and with orders from Big Al's, Pets & Ponds and MOPS:Aquarium Supplies Category List

On ebay, aquaticmagic sells many plants with free shipping to Canada. I have heard one good referral for them and may try them out myself later on.

This one is Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and is absolutely terrific to deal with ... I mail order from them several times already (and I'm only 1 hour away)

Another one is www.JLaquatics.com

Never purchased from them but the prices are competitive and some other people recommended me there.

That MOPS.ca website is so antiquated. Do they think that this is still 1995?

Mops has a new site now. Although I think the Canadian and us prices are backwards cause everything is cheaper in Canadian.

checked out their site, they're charging $60 shipping plus tax&duty for $15 worth of plants.

not worth it at all, and i've ordered from them in the past without these ridiculous shipping costs. i'll be looking around town for now unless there's a more reasonable option.

Yeah, aquarium plants has some very expensive shipping, even for dry goods, I was going to order a CO2 reactor from them for $30 (most stores here sell it for $50) and the shipping for UPS ground was $27, now that is rediculous
