Toronto water for seawater aquarium?

Did you know anything about suitability of our tap water as the source water for seawater preparation?

When I had my nano reef, I used an Aquarium pharmaceuticals Tap water purifier. Didn't want to take the chance, however they may be other Torontonians out there who use straight tap water? Anyone?

Check out the City of Toronto Annual water report .PDF. It lists extensive parameters of Toronto waters:

Sorry, R/O or reverse osmosis water is the only way to go or you will have a host of algae isues to deal with. Made that mistake for about a month and paid for it almost a year!
I currently use R/O from Water Depot. Make sure all containers used to hold the water are food grade and will not leach chemicals and syes into the water. A bit of Aragonite gravel in the bottom of the bucket will help prevent this as well.
