leaks, bad yeast

Proof the yeast -- add to water, let dissolve, add a bit of sugar, watch for slight foaming

If the yeast is good, submerge the generator under water, watch for leaks

try using cool (not cold) water once and wait several hours-1 day+. I've heard that warm/hot water can kill the yeast. Not sure if it is true, but I use cool water and mine produce co2 fast

If the water is less than 115 F then the yeast should be fine. Over that things get dicey, I always put the yeast in first and then the sugar and pour the warm water onto the sugar. It cools it enough to keep the yeast from being wiped out.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".

here's how I always did mine. I put in warm awter and sugar to get that dissolved. Then I add cold water to get it to the right temp. usually just a little cool to your hand works. then add the yeast. I have this going on the 10g in the bedroom and used in on the 38 before I went pressurized. Worked like a charm.

69%, you mean F right? my house is at 65F and I get very good CO2 production with the same recipe you're using. The water temp you used was warm, perfect, it should be working. Also give it at least 24 hours to start, thats how long mine takes.

99% of the time it's leaks. Submerge the whole setup in a bucket of water and check that way...The best way to be leak free is to drill a hole smaller than the tubing, cut the tubing at an angle, and pull it through with some pliers.
