regarding lighting

Hey guys, new to this forum!!

i have a lighting question for planted tanks. I currently use a double bright led from marineland, that works okay for low light plants, but was wanting to upgrade to new lighting.

would this light be okay?

they sell for 30 for a 20 watt 6500k color temp, and was gna buy two or three for my 60 gallon long. do you think these are legit?

I think it's ok to paste the ebay item number. For example I think the light you are referring to is ebay item 370907247392 ?

flood light LED's

The above thread (that was started last year) may provide you some useful information.

I purchased, and used, a 20w "cool white" floodlight from a US seller last year. For what it is worth: I was satisfied with the performance... BUT, it failed to work after using it for about 6 months with photo periods of 11-12 hours a day. Probably a bad driver (have not taken the time & effort to troubleshoot the defect). The fixture was manufactured in China. Was it worth the $28? I think I would be thrilled if it was still working!

Personally, I would weigh all your options in regards to lighting (especially when shelling out $ for your investment) before "doing the deed". There are many unbiased lighting opinions within TPT's lighting section that might help-out in regards to making a 'weighted' decision (takes a bit of time to read & research 'em', but it's well worth it). There seems to be a variety of very good/affordable LED fixtures available on the market today (along with many very good DIY options).
