The stuff of nightmares - Bobbit Worm

To quote the story:

This is Eunice aphroditois, also known as the bobbit worm, a mix between the Mongolian death worm, the Graboids from Tremors, the Bugs from Starship Troopers, and a rainbow — but it’s a really dangerous rainbow, like in Mario Kart. And it hunts in pretty much the most nightmarish way imaginable, digging itself into the sea floor, exposing a few inches of its body — which can grow to 10 feet long — and waiting.

...Bobbit worms can tuck themselves away among coral and decimate an aquarium, picking off fish one by one, which you can imagine is quite confusing for the owner...

You can never have too many Zelda references! Good one! =]

Past time tropical fish keeper. Re-engaging by tackling the planted aquarium!

Starting Small! ~60L Iwagumi Journal! Needs updating...

Progress: Algae is (finally) under control with new plants that are establishing well. I think I'm about to start fertilising... :S

thats a super cool creature. i wouldnt want one in my reef tank, but a dedicated tank for one would be sweet.

There are 2 types of people on this forum. Those that have algae, and those that lie and say they don't.

I think I would use some big tongs to pull it out of the tank and then feed it into the drain with garbage disposal running.

I'd use some metal tongs to catch it by the mouth claws then put it in a space helmet to control the mind of my enemies

Well, at least you don't have to worry about it hiding where you can't see it...maybe.

Here's another video I found of one

It's hard to get a good view of those mouthparts on the other pic and video.
