Chinchilla Pooh, Revisiting.
I saw on a British plant forum people use Rabbit pooh as fertilizer. They say it works wonders and beats any other type of manufactured root fertilizer. I don't have any rabbits but I figure my Chinchilla's pooh would be the same thing since their diet is the same. Since my plants in my sandy bottom tank don;t grow with out root tablets I thing I might trey it out. Any yahs or nahs?
Update: Well i decided to give it ago and I placed 5 pieces of oven baked chinchilla pooh into some sand and water. I then froze it and placed it under a plant. The plant i was using was pretty much dead and covered in algae but it did have white roots still. After two days I noticed green sprouts growing from the dead algae infested plant. today i noticed the new growth is starting to turn red. It is worth noting my nitrAte levels and other levels remained good.
here is a picture you can clearly see the new growth and the dead spots.
